wellbeing, nature, peace and rest
First, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the extraordinary panorama from the breakfast room of the Dives valley, which is 18.5 miles (30 km) as the crow flies to the sea, Caen and Ouistreham.
One of the charms of the Pays d’Auge region, at the heart of the Cider Route, is that the road to get to Les Marronniers is at times narrow, winding and bordered by hedges, orchards and stud farms, and many of our guests wonder whether they are ever going to arrive . . .
Once at the house, reassured, warmly welcomed by Christine and/or Vincent in the B&B spirit, and settled into your room, it will be time for peace and rest and planning your programme of activities!.
rest and relaxation
If you are looking for rest and relaxation, you can of course enjoy the peaceful grounds, but also one of the bedrooms’ spa baths, or the sauna in the Deauville suite. Lull yourself to dreamland on the deckchairs or, at one of the tables in the garden or breakfast room, share a meal, an apple juice, or a glass of AOC Pays d’Auge cider or Pommeau with some Normandy cheese or Camembert saucisson (sold at Cambremer’s delicatessen).
wood
It will be our pleasure to help you discover the charming garden of flowers and trees and the 25 hectare wood covering the hill
Walks in Normandy and on-site “physical” activities
Walks in Normandy: the district of Cambremer is great for rambling, and a printed guidebook suggesting tours around Cambremer is at your disposition. For example, you can access the “Balade des haras” (Stud Farm Tour) directly from Les Marronniers.
If you like “physical” activities, you can, as well as walk in the woods, go jogging on the Route d’Englesqueville or take a bike ride (a word of warning; the Pays d’Auge is quite hilly), play a game of ping-pong or indulge in acrobatics on the trampoline or the swings.
